day 87 - kuching, malaysia

Hey, I'm back from my trip to Tioman, and already at uni. I had such awesome time there, as well as when heading there. I first on the 17th headed to Singapore for 2 days, where on the first day went clubbin' with 3 of the mates I met at the hostel. We went to the club Zuks, which IF I remember right, it is the biggest in all Singapore.

The next day, went pretty fast, as I was trying to find the bus station (Golden Mall Complex) where the buses to Mersing go. I had to go to Mersing first AS all the ferries to Tioman, go from there. So I finally found it, after an awful trek through the suburbs of Singapore. I got my ticket, which was like 25SGD. The bus would leave on the next (19th) at 6.30am . . YEEH. . not early enough

Soo, Sunday was just about the travel there and the complications that Might arise. First of all, when I woke up at the hostel on Sunday, and started to gather my stuff, I realized that there was A HUGE rainstorm blistering outside and I wasn't going to walk. So, TAXI. . Okay, the trip from Singapore to Mersing, is about 3-4hours and it goes through the border check points in Johor Bahru. The trip was all fine, because the bus had aircon. After the trip we reached Mersing, and I headed to the Ferry port to find a ferry that would take me to Salang Sayang Resort, Tioman. As there is many different (not many but a few) destinations there, I had to find the right ferry first. . Finally I reach Salang. . and I could say. . rest was history...

The rest of the week went doing the open water diving course. I did it with the B&J diving and my instructor was Kirstin. I met heeps of new mates there and enjoyed the sun a bit as well. Also saw some awesome finding nemo fishes and all sorts of lizards. All in all, a awesome time. Dived my first time, got to go to 18metres, saw Lion Fishes, ate a lot of gooood foood and drank some wicked juices. Also went to the nice reggae bar on the beach. . wicked time.. sun, sea and some shit. :)

I would write much more here, of my experience but.. I must be runnin to class . . so farewell

Sepang Malaysia Grand Prix 2009 behind and uni work waiting.

So, came home yesterday from my weekend trip to see the F1 circuit in KL. Even though the race was a short one (32 laps from 52) it was a wicked weekend. Saw some nice sights, went to some cool party's and met new friends. Yeah, I stayed at a hostel called Bedz and I met like 6 mates there, whom I spent the evenings with, I also went to a Rave with them, The SpeedZone Rave 2009, which was one of the official after party's for F1.

Okay, I arrived to KL on friday evening and headed straight to the hostel, which in the end was quite easy. I thought first that I was in for a struggle when trying to find the hostel, because I totally forgot to take any kind of maps or guides for that place, I only remembered that IT was close to the Bukit Bintang monorail stop. Thank god for my awesome sense of direction.

After the hostel I headed out to find some sights and look for a movie theater, I had already decided that I would go and see the new Fast and Furious flick ASAP. And hell yeah I was a gooood movie, or I think so anyway. . After the movie I went back to Bedz and got a few beers there. Chatted with some of the other visitors and ended up chilling' with them till 4am or something. On the next day after the qualifiers I went with the same guys to the rave I mentioned earlier.

On sunday then I did some touring around the city and bought a new PSP game and in the evening headed to the Sepang Race track to see the (famous) 32 lap race. hehe. . . and reest is history.
