merry christmas .. oo.. i mean happy valentines day .. noo.. i mean happy chinese new year.!!

Back in the good old library, and trying to write or do my research for the dissertation. I've actually gotten loads of data about it, but unfortunately all of it has been entirely bad for my topic. These data has been too "positive" towards the assumptions and has left me without any negative side effects to bonder about. And as everyone knows, positive is not so interesting to write about. Yeah, anyways . . .

Again almost a month since my last post, and again I come with the same reasons, too busy or / and too lazy to post here. But lets go through the month, sorta. Hmm.. We’ve had about 2weeks of official Uni-time here, and during that period for strategic management course we had a business game. On which we as a 5 person group make financial decision. These are then typed in to a program, where all of the 6 group’s data is calculated, then this program will give a years worth of information to us. These are either positive or negative, depending on our financial decisions. Ultimate we had 7 rounds of this game, and I have to say.. We were legendary.. Not in a good way but in away that the shareholders didn’t have any money left when we were through. This leads me to believe that I’m not destined to be a manager or any sort of leader in a business. Hmm…

Then during these 2 weeks we have also had few seminars and lectures on Rural Tourism, Destination Planning for Sustainable Tourism B and Social and Political Perspectives On Tourism. . Sounds very interesting, RIGHT!! But lets leave there, I don’t want to bore you to death about the awesome things we have done there..

Next subject.. The Colonials. We should’ve already have had about 2 games and loads of practices but for the years weather differences and weird flukes, one of the games had to be cancelled and few trainings as well. But at least we had a game last week on the 7th, when we faced Hull. This game ended our LOOSING streak for this season as we won by 2 TD; I also had a bingo during the game. Bingo meaning that I knockdown the same player 3 times in 3 different occasions. So BINGO!! After that game we headed back to Lincoln to our annual –Super Bowl Party- which was immense. All the players showed up, plus loads of other guys as well. In the end we had like hundreds watching the game at Walkabout. Also, the place stayed open till 5am in the morning which was a bonus for those who liked to drink and not go home. The game was good, exiting and very enjoyable, because it wasn’t a sure deal for both of the teams. . hmm.. also big thanks for my friends from class, who showed up to support our event and the super bowl itself.!! Thankkkksss…

Hey yeah, almost forgot. MEL GIBSON is back. I saw his new film the edge of darkness 3weeks ago, and I have to say that it’s pretty good. It might be the fact that I was a big sceptic when going and didn’t have big expectations about to begin with. Good good ..

Kiss my hyperreal ass ..

eeeee.eeee.. keyboard error and a hint of lazynesse

Geesh, time goes by like time in the wings of boredom with a hint of pepper. Yeah, sorry about it, its almost been a month since my last post and since then I've been in Finland, flown back to England, celebrated Christmas with my family and new year with my mates in Helsinki (thanks everyone). So, lets begin with this "information" overload. Flew back to Finland, and celebrated Christmas with my sister, her son and my mom. Good food, VERY good food (swede casserole, ham, rice porridge, et cetera) and presents. Hmm, chocolate comes to mind at first when thinking about the presents.. :) Also played a lot of boardgames with my sis and her son. .

New years eve was filled with loads of new things, cousins wedding, ME heading out with a suit on and .. something else (and that stays a secret). Okay, my cousin had his wedding on new years even and a get-together after-ward's. Me and my brother, headed after that to Helsinki, where we met a lot of our friends at one of their homes, we also in the end ended up in Tiger. Aaa, the night was filled with sing-star singing, sparkle sticks and firework thing things, also some alcoholic beverages were consumed. Ou, not forget, it was only -25celcius again.. :) and the whole trip to Finland was actually filled with whiter than white scenery and cold weather.

H mm, also during that awesome "finnish" break, I needed to write few essay for Tourism and the City AND Consumer Culture in Tourism. And I can later on say that, these essays were Shite! Shit!, Crap, and everything between, (but hopefully I'll pass). Its really hard to write anything at home, during a vacation period as you've used to not doing anything except see friends and relax.

So, now back in England and getting ready for my last semester, LAST! Only thing between me and graduating is the dissertation and the exams, so! not much. haha..

btw, my new year resolutions are a blond (for those who know) and that I'll pass Uni. :)

talk to you guys later (the few who even come here)..

sincerely,

Matti

finnish snow vs. english snow.... hmm

AA, when I look out of the window, I can only see white, and snow, and COLD. Yeah, back in good-old Finland, enjoying the cold breeze (-10c to -23c), and the great and awsome white christmas. So, only 2 days till chrismas, and its already white as white can be, usually before christmas its almost greyish, as its "warmed" and when the snow comes down, it almost melts. The winter, and the cold breezes have, for the past 5 years, moved more and more away from christmas. But not this year. I ACTUALLY had a cold and white welcome when I came back to Finland, last thursday (17th, dec) and I have to say "YEAAH!!". Side note, england had its snow on the next day (18th) and almost every train, plane and facility was closed or delayed because of it. And I heard that if I would've traveled a day later, I would've been late atleast 6-8hours. :)) Planes didnt go up, because of 5cm of snow on the ground. :) hehe.. geesh

So christmas ahead, and leisure time.!NOT, I still need to write before the 12th, an essay for my Tourism in the City course (only 3000-4000words). hmm. when Will i FIND the motivation for that.. ..anyhow, pictures are up, a few from lincoln and then a few from Finland. and of course of Buusteri :) our awsome dog!

btw, I saw Christmas Carol (with Jim Carrey) in 3D last week and it was magnificent, brilliant.. almost touchable! :)) 3d..wheezzz and the action jackson flick Law Abiding Citizen
